Missouri University of Science & Technology celebrated their Mars Rover Design Team’s second-place finish (top US team) in the University Rover Challenge last weekend. The team placed last in last year’s URC - the first year Missouri S&T students took part.

“The team built an awesome rover,” said Dr. Melanie Mormile, the team’s advisor, in Missouri S&T’s press release.

Rather than buy and assemble commercial components, the students designed custom circuitry and machines most of the structure themselves.
